Taste Meridian is operated by Freedom Games LLC (indie.io).

We keep things simple.

What we collect

• If you create an account: your email and display name.
• If you save a recipe or mark one cooked: that association.
• Page views, measured with Google Analytics 4: the page, the referrer, your approximate region, and your device and browser type.

Analytics and cookies

We measure visits with Google Analytics 4, a Google service. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_1JSV6V30YP) to count visits and tell a returning reader from a new one. Event data is kept for two months. We do not use it for advertising: Google signals is off and the property is not linked to an advertising account.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are switched off (Google Consent Mode v2 default). Those cookies are not set there, and Google Analytics receives page views without cookies or a stored identifier. The default covers Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

To opt out anywhere, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, use a content blocker, or block or clear cookies for tastemeridian.com in your browser. Blocking cookies does not break the site.

Your browser also records, in its local storage, whether you dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page. That stays on your device.

What we don't do

• No cross-site ad tracking.
• No selling your data.
• No fingerprinting.

Third parties

• Supabase — hosts your account and saved recipes.
• Cloudflare / nginx — serves this site and may log your IP for security.
• Amazon — if you click a product link, their cookies apply once you land there.
• Google — Google Analytics 4 measures visits, as described under Analytics and cookies.

Email hello@tastemeridian.com to export or delete your account. We'll respond within 14 days.
